Meta Music & Chess Camp

What:

Summer camps at Meta Music are unlike any other music camp experience because at the end of each week, we release an album of all the songs recorded that week to Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and everywhere else you listen to music.  

Each day of camp is comprised of writing, recording, and producing music specifically catered to the interests, personalities, and musical tastes of the attendees. This year we’ve added a stage in the Main Room and a 20 channel soundproof recording suite, meaning we will have added elements of live audio engineering, production, and performance!  Without hyperbole, this will be the best year of camp that we’ve ever had.

On top of all that, we’re adding a new wrinkle this year: chess!  At every single camp last year, we noticed that chess was overwhelmingly popular during break times.  Since all of our teachers play (it’s not part of the hiring process, but it might as well be), we decided to make it an official part of this year’s camp.  The plan is to utilize those break times to have tournaments, friendly games, puzzle challenges, lessons, and everything in between!

Who: 

Groupings within each camp will be based on a combination of age and ability that typically falls into the following categories: 

Rising 3rd-5th Grade, 6th-8th, 9th-12th Grade*

*Option for middle school and above: If you’re in a band and want to reserve a week of camp to record an album, let us know as soon as possible so you can have the entire studio to yourself all week.  (this is also new)

Pre-sale price is $300

Pre-sale window closes at midnight on February 29th   

Regular price: Meta Students $350, $375 for non-Meta students 

For all camps, a 50% non-refundable* deposit due at registration.  The balance will be charged 2 weeks prior to the start of your camp week.

*Non-refundable deposit details: We pride ourselves on being flexible and reasonable.  Deposits are conditionally non-refundable because a very limited amount of spaces are available for each camp. However, if your plans change and you provide a at least 14 days notice, we are happy to either reallocate the deposit to another week of camp (if spots are available) or convert the deposit into 3 regular lesson credits.
